You recently used the services of a company to repair something in your home, but you were not satisfied with the work. Write a letter to the company. In your letter: explain what work was done and when, describe the problems with the work, and say what you would like the company to do about it. Write at least 150 words. Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the repair work carried out at my home by your company on 5 May.
I had hired your firm to fix a persistent leak in my bathroom and to re-seal the bath and sink. Unfortunately, the standard of the work has been very poor. Within days, the leak returned and is now worse than before, causing a damp patch to spread across the ceiling of the room below. The new sealant has also begun to peel away, leaving untidy gaps.
I contacted your office by telephone last week to report these problems, but I have not yet received any response.
As the work is clearly defective and is still under your guarantee, I would like you to send a qualified plumber to reinspect and properly complete the job at no further cost. I would also expect compensation for the damage to my ceiling. Please contact me to arrange a suitable time.
