Dear Mr Thompson,

I am writing to let you know about a change in my circumstances that affects the flat I currently rent from you at 14 Maple Court.

I have recently been offered a new job in Manchester, which I have decided to accept. As the position starts next month, I will unfortunately need to end my tenancy and relocate. I have genuinely enjoyed living in the flat and am sorry to leave at relatively short notice.

I intend to move out on 30 June, which I believe gives the required one month's notice under our agreement. I will, of course, ensure the flat is left clean and in good condition.

Could you also advise me on the procedure for returning my deposit? I would be grateful to know whether an inspection is needed and how long the refund usually takes.

Thank you for being such an understanding landlord over the past two years.

Best regards, [Your name]
