Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to complain about the excessive noise from a construction site next to my home at 22 Elm Road, and to request that the council take action.
For the past three weeks, building work has been generating extremely loud noise from drilling and heavy machinery, often starting as early as 6 a.m. and continuing late into the evening. As I work night shifts and need to sleep during the day, this has left me exhausted and unable to rest, and it is beginning to affect both my health and my work.
I have already spoken to the site manager twice and politely asked whether the hours could be reduced, but unfortunately nothing has changed.
I would therefore be grateful if the council could investigate whether the site is complying with permitted working hours, and enforce reasonable limits so that local residents can rest. I would appreciate confirmation of what steps will be taken.
Yours faithfully, [Your name]
