3. Band Score System (0β9)
Each module is scored 0β9. Your Overall Band Score is the average of all 4 modules, rounded to the nearest 0.5.

| 4 | Limited | Basic competence limited to familiar situations |

- β’ Immerse in British & Australian accents via BBC, ABC podcasts
- β’ Predict answers from question context before audio plays
- β’ Practise active note-taking during recordings
- β’ Don't dwell on missed answers β move on immediately
π Reading
- β’ Skim passage in 30 seconds to understand theme and structure
- β’ Scan for keywords from questions β don't read word by word
- β’ Aim for 17β18 minutes per passage β strict timing from day 1
- β’ Read questions before the passage in True/False/NG tasks

- β’ Memorise structures for argument, discussion, problem-solution
- β’ Plan 5 minutes β saves 15 minutes of confusion during writing
- β’ Build a vocabulary bank of collocations by topic

7. Quick Reference β Do's and Don'ts
β Do's
- βRead questions BEFORE the audio in Listening
- βUse a variety of vocabulary β avoid word repetition
- βWrite at least 150 words (Task 1) and 250 words (Task 2)
- βIn Speaking, extend every answer with reasons/examples
- βCheck spelling carefully in Listening and Reading
- βPlan your Writing before you start β even 5 minutes helps
β Don'ts
- βDon't memorise and recite prepared speeches in Speaking
- βDon't leave any Listening/Reading answer blank β always guess
- βDon't spend more than 20 minutes on Writing Task 1
- βDon't copy words from the Reading passage into answers

- βDon't panic if you miss a Listening answer β move on
